Declare something positive about yourself! Come and play in this beginner mixed media class. Create a 6" x 6" mixed media canvas that represents your best self.  There are no rules in this class, just lots of fun! You will be provided with a canvas, a variety of papers and embellishments, and the Modge Podge to hold it all together. Feel free to bring additional scraps, embellishments, even your favorite stamps and ink pads to complete your masterpiece!

What do you need to bring: Please bring basic supplies... cutter, scissors, a glue pen, a permanent black FINE point marker, foam tape and glue dots...

If you would like to add to what I have available for you (CTMH B&T Paper, cardstock, embellishments, many different "She" statements to chose from and much more), you are welcome to bring any stamps & blocks inks, embellishments, fabrics, ribbons, lace, baubles... or whatever you'd like!

What is SheArt?:  It is to create a representation of yourself through the usage of mixed media. For this class, it is created on a 6" X 6" canvas, and it is meant to be simply a starting place! I do have some paper doll patterns, however, I encourage you to create yourself from scratch!

2 Double Layouts using Flip Flaps Class

Class: "10 Things I am Thankful for" 2 Double Layouts

As we approach Thanksgiving, we are always reminded of the many things we are THANKFUL for... Here's your opportunity to add them to your scrapbooks!

In this workshop, you will create 2 complete double layouts, and with using CTMH's AWESOME Flip Flaps, they will only take up the space of one double layout! AND you will have enough product left over to create some Thanksgiving cards, or another layout!

If you would like to finish these layouts during the Crops Plus weekend, you will need to make a list of "10 individual things you are Thankful for", and also print out photos in the follow sizes to coordinate with the list:

Yes, there are 13 pictures and only 10 "THINGS", but I just put multiple pictures of our family members down and only marked 1 with the actual NUMBER... Hope this helps for your planning purposes!

Can you believe it's September?? Now is the time to get a jump on your Holiday gifts... I have the perfect solution! Using Close To My Heart's 2011 National Scrapbooking Month Special called "You and Me"; 2 of the (now retired) My Creations 3 Ring Binders; and some extra cardstock... You will create these 2 albums that will make beautiful, and very memorable gifts for 2 of those special friend or family members on your list!

The "You and Me" kits come with the very beautiful "You and Me" Pattern Paper, gorgeous brown and cream striped ribbon, Dimensional Elements (chipboard), Mocha Opaques (Pearls) and an exclusive stamp set that you get to keep!

This is such an amazing deal, as the kits originally sold for $39.62 (including S/T) in May 2011! However, CTMH offered them again in June as a fundraiser for the Earthquake victims and dropped the price to $15.00 (plus S/T)... I decided to snap up a bunch of them because they are just gorgeous AND I wanted to offer a class using the kit! So this way I got to pass the savings on to you! I hope you love working with the kits, as much I do!

One of the albums is created in the green/brown color palette, and the 2nd one is created with the Smoothie (Peachy pink) and brown color palette! Shown above is a picture of the covers, and shown below are sample of a couple of the pages from both albums - you can see in the pictures, that they are very similar, but wait until you see them in person!

Have you heard the NEWS... Close To My Heart has a wonderful new, and very innovative product called Flip Flaps Assortments ((Z1325) and they are only $3.95 plus s/t. Inside a full package, you get 2 - 12"x4", 4 - 12"x6", and 2 - 12"x8" Flip Flaps! They are so much fun and so very easy to work with AND they allow you to add more pictures to your layouts!

We will be creating one beautiful 6x6 Mini Album using CTMH's Mistletoe Level 1 Kit during 'class' time, but you will have more than enough product to create 2 (total) of the 6x6 Mistletoe mini albums (Please note: the 2 mini albums will be similar - not identical) - 1 to keep and 1 to give away?!

Barb Carrico's February Workshop - CTMH

12x12 Dry Erase Board Workshop
With Barb Carrico - Close To My Heart
Date and Time: Saturday 3-5 pm

We all love organizing with fun/pretty things... This is a very useful, pretty and colorful way to do that! We will be creating a 12x12 Dry Erase Board that you can put up in your Kitchen, Office or Craft Room - just to mention a few... and it can be easily recreated to be used as a gift!

The kit includes 1 frame, 1/2 of a paper kit and embellishments, and use of my stamps and inks... You should have a good bit of paper left to recreate additional boards (you can purchase additional frames later) or to use in making a layout or 2, on your own!

Above is a picture of an example, yours can be made using the same or different paper, and you can also title your board according to what you will be using it for! Example: You won't need Grocery list if this is for your craft room...

I will have multiple paper packets to chose from, and those will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis, as class begins!
