Pulling together a design for a scrapbook layout can sometimes be quite challenging. Working out how to combine all the elements on your page to create the best visual doesn’t always come naturally. Luckily, there are design tricks that you can use that work every time

The “rule of thirds” is one of the most well-known composition principles. It applies to every form of design, from graphic design to photography to painting and scrapbooking and card making. We will go over this simple design principle and put it into action by creating a two page 12x12 layout. (With additional design sketches and plenty of materials left over to make more).

We will be using stickers, embellishments and a paper kit from Bella Blvd.

Note: This is the second of four classes on design principles that will be taught in 2019.

  • September - Design Theory 201 - Color Theory AND a repeat of
Design Theory 101 - Working with Patterned Paper
  • November - Design Theory 202 - Photography instruction from a professional photographer

Remember, you can take classes even if you cannot attend all the crops.
