Description

Join Samantha Testa, full time calligrapher, for an evening of hand lettering and good vibes!
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of hand lettering using four unique pens perfect for brush calligraphy and faux calligraphy. You will have a personalized workbook that walks you through the step by step process and provides four different styles to practice. You will have several blank greeting cards ready for you to letter on and personalize to make your own set.

The workshop fee includes a personalized hand lettering workbook with several styles of lettering, 4 unique pens perfect for hand lettering, and access to materials to complete the workshop skills and make your greeting card set.

We'll go over the basics so if you are a total newbie...don't worry, you've got this. If you have done some hand lettering before but would just like some more guidance, we can make that happen, too!

*Please note: We will NOT be covering traditional, dip pen calligraphy. This is a modern hand lettering class, using pen and marker techniques.

Please bring permanent tape, especially for the cover, foam tape, cutter, bone folder, scissors,   Liquid Glass, & tape runner!

Create two page 12x12 scrapbook payout using Kiwi Lane “Play to Create” template system and paper.

 

You will learn how to design your layout using Kiwi Lane template system. You will also learn the technique of inking, tracing and cutting. Additionally, you will learn how to maximize the number of pictures on your pages.

Templates will be provided for use during class and will be available for purchase at the booth.
The Play-to-Create system is a back-to-basics approach that gives you the freedom to play with the design of your layouts or cards without the fear of making mistakes. It’s a simple 5-step process…DESIGN,TRACE, CUT, INK, REPLACE.

The class will take approximately 1hr. We will show you how to design your page, trace using the template system, cut, and ink your design and complete your layout.

Supplies Needed:
Tape Runner/Adhesive
Paper trimmer
Scissors

Note: The class cost has increased slightly due to the new paper packs being offered by Kiwi Lane. In each paper pack you will now receive enough to paper to create the layout above and an additional 2 page 12x12 layout (see below for additional layout ideas).

YOU CAN DO ANY OF THE SHADOWBOXES DURING THIS CLASS. I also have
Easter, Spring, Valentine, St. Patty's, I love America, Happy Days, Summer Fun, I love Winter Available.

All insert sets come with wood set, photo, instructions and all the paper you need to put the kit together.
I have found the perfect shadow box class for you. The shadow box is
magnetic. Yes magnetic, you can take the panels out and put new
seasonal decorative panels in. You will choose the white or black
magnetic shadowbox base if you have not taken a previous class.

You will need an exacto knife, Beacons 3 in 1 Glue & scissors I will have the supplies on site for you to purchase it you do not already have them.
