The popularity of washi tape has exploded in the past year, and it seems like every craft manufacturer is incorporating their designs into a line of washi tape. These pretty tapes can go for $5.00/roll or more, but in this class you’ll learn how to make your own beautiful, washi-style tape from common crafting supplies – many of which you probably already own! This class will teach you everything you need to know to start making your own totally customized washi tapes in an endless variety of widths, colors and designs – the possibilities for homemade washi are limited only by your imagination! The tape you create in class will be used to decorate a tag. Cost: $15.00.

Class supplies: paper trimmer, favorite adhesive, scissors (non-stick is best).
*Picture may not represent the tapes made in class.

Two great new products has been taking the scrapbook and genealogy worlds by storm. Come see how they both can work for you!
The first is the Cricut Craft Room. The free Cricut Craft Room® online design software makes it easy to design and create projects with your Cricut® machine. Simply select a Cricut® image you own and drag and drop it on the virtual cutting mat. Then size, slant, rotate, weld, or flip images to create the perfect project. When you're finished, connect your Cricut® machine to your computer with a USB cable so you can cut what you've designed. You can also get inspiration! Click through all the Cricut images available on ANY cartridge whether you own it or not. Or get your projects started with the ideas, detailed instructions, and cut files in the Cricut® Project Center where the design work is done for you! Simply download a file, upload it into the Cricut Craft Room® design software, and press cut. Finally, get access to the more than 200 digital cartridges and single images available through Cricut.com and the Craft Room, including the Free Cut of the Week and a free font -- Cricut Craft Room Basics. The Craft Room is compatiable with all Cricut machines (except the very oldest Cricut Personal Cutters). Expand all the ways you use your Cricut machine!

The second is the Flip-Pal™ mobile scanner, which is a scanner that is mobile, accurate, versatile and compact. It is incredibly easy to operate, it has high resolution, a quick scan time, it runs on batteries and it is incredibly light – less than 3 pounds. It even fits in your purse! A computer is not required for operation as it has an internal memory card like a camera but if you use the computer software available, you can further enhance all your images and use them to create picture art, calendars, cards, slideshows and more! The software available, and sold separately, goes even further to allow you to create business logos, digital scrapbooks, cards, or even build your own website.
The scanner’s image screen fits 4x6 photos but you can scan larger images as well by scanning each part and stitching it together without seams! And the computer does all the work! The photo software that is available restores colors and old photos can be become new again without hurting the original. The patented flip-and-scan technology even allows you to scan images still in the album or frame. You can copy and restore old photos, scan newspaper or old records and preserve your memories forever!
Come see how these great new products work!
